Furry Friends and Smiles at Fern Brook Lodge
Fern Brook Lodge recently welcomed some very special and extremely cuddly visitors as part of their activities programme. Residents, staff, and families were delighted to spend an afternoon with Buddy and Alfie, two charming alpacas from Alpaca Adventures.
The visit formed part of a therapeutic animal experience, bringing comfort, joy, and a lot of smiles to everyone involved. Residents enjoyed petting the alpacas, learning about their care, and watching them explore the garden with curiosity and calmness. The gentle nature of the alpacas made them a huge hit, with one resident joking that we should keep them in the garden permanently! Their presence sparked conversations, laughter, and a lovely sense of calm throughout the afternoon.
It was a memorable day that brought connection and comfort in the most heart-warming way. The team at Fern Brook Lodge are already looking forward to welcoming Wendy from Alpaca Adventures back again very soon.
