Care provided at Beauchamp House:

Beauchamp House is a Grade II listed Georgian manor house, refurbished and extended in recent years to become a warm and welcoming Care South home for residential and nursing care. We are situated in the village of Hatch Beauchamp, nestled in the Somerset countryside, where we are treated to spectacular countryside views. Every resident’s room overlooks our private, beautifully landscaped gardens, helping to provide a sense of peace and tranquillity.

Beauchamp House has 54 comfortable, fully furnished rooms, each with en-suite toilet and shower facilities and a 24-hour nurse call bell, ensuring residents are comfortable, safe and expertly cared for. We give all residents support and peace of mind and we pride ourselves on doing everything possible to enhance their quality of life.

Our gardens, terraces and elegant lounges provide the perfect place to relax or socialise with friends and loved ones over a cup of tea and a slice of cake. However, if you want something stronger, you could always visit the Hatch Inn, our local traditional country pub which is just a stone’s throw away. Residents also have full use of our on-site café, hair salon, and our well-stocked library.

Our Somerset care home also provides a high-level of palliative nursing care when required, which has been recognised by the Gold Standards Framework (GSF). We strive to make sure that residents can continue to do what they love, whether that’s a coffee with friends or enjoying activities with visiting loved ones. Nothing is too much trouble for us when it comes to the care and comfort of residents and we always go the extra mile to help residents safely maintain their lifestyle and independence.

We understand that looking for a care home can be a difficult and daunting process, but we want you to know that you are not alone. Please feel free to give us a call or fill out an enquiry form and we will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have, provide you with support throughout the process, or simply give you a better idea of life at Beauchamp House.

Beauchamp House is dedicated to ensuring residents are able to get the most out of every day, whilst feeling safe and supported. For us, it’s all about delivering the three F’s – Food, Fun and Friendship – to help residents to live a happy and fulfilling lifestyle.

Recreational activities are organised by our activities coordinator(s) to ensure residents are having fun and making friends, and range from baking and arts and crafts to visits from entertainers and day trips out to local points of interest and attractions, such as the Lady Alice Gore-Langton Memorial recreation ground and Village Hall.

No two residents are the same, and we love to learn about their amazing life stories, hobbies and interests. This helps us to build strong relationships with residents and allows us to tailor our activities to suit their likes and favourite pastimes. Residents can be as involved as they wish and the activities team work hard to cater for our residents’ recreational needs, enabling them to continue to do the things they love, even if that simply involves sitting down and enjoying a card game or a puzzle.

Please see below for some of the activities that we have been enjoying at Beauchamp House recently.

“It’s great supporting the residents at Beauchamp House; I love the challenge of creating menus that incorporate the tastes of all the residents.” – Clare Sayers, Beauchamp House Chef

Given our mission to provide residents with the three F’s – Food, Fun and Friendship – mealtimes are very important to us and residents love coming together to enjoy delicious, nutritious and wholesome meals with their friends.

Our menu is expertly crafted by our talented Chefs, working closely with our Caterings Operations Manager, and is cooked and prepared onsite by our skilled kitchen staff.  We are passionate about providing high-quality food for residents, therefore, we cater for all of their dietary requirements and meal preferences, always maintaining the same high standards when preparing alternative meals. Refreshments are also available for residents throughout the day.

We currently hold a food hygiene rating of 5/5 stars (date of inspection: 06/07/2022) and strive to provide delicious and nutritious, high-quality meals for all residents.

Debbie Lane – Home Manager

“I have lots of experience in the Care sector. I am a registered Nurse and qualified in 2007, and have had experience both within the NHS and the private sector. I previously worked as a Home Manager for a large care home. Primarily, through my nursing career, I have worked with the frail and elderly, which is my passion.

I pride myself in supporting the team to be the best they can, seeing them gain confidence, grow and flourish as well as providing outstanding care to residents.”
