We are safely able to support new residents. For more information, please speak with the Home Manager or fill out an enquiry form.
Beauchamp House care home is nestled in the Somerset countryside village of Hatch Beauchamp, near Taunton, and overlooks beautifully maintained grounds.
Compassionate carers and nurses support residents to enjoy the peace and beauty of the Grade II-listed Georgian manor house, which has been refurbished to cater for the needs of residents. Opposite the home is a traditional country pub, the Hatch Inn, while the nearby Lady Alice Gore-Langton Memorial Village Hall forms the heart of village life.
Beauchamp House has 54 bedrooms, all of which overlook the garden, and have en-suite bathroom and shower rooms. Beauchamp House also provides a high-level of palliative care when it is needed, which has been recognised by the Gold Standards Framework (GSF), as well as 24-hour nursing care.
We know looking for a care home can be a difficult process, but you are not alone. Please fill out an enquiry form or give us a call and we would be happy to guide you through the process. We can also answer any questions and talk you through life at Beauchamp House.
We have adapted our admissions process to meet the challenges of COVID-19 and help new and existing residents stay safe. You can find out more about these changes in our Assisi Admissions Plan by clicking here.
Beauchamp House is not just a home for your later years, it’s a place to enjoy life in a supported and social way. Whether you would like to enjoy games on a sunny day in the garden, welcome special guests into the lounge for activities and performances, or visit nearby attractions and landmarks, such as the Haynes International Motor Museum, our activities team create varied and engaging daily activity programmes centred around the interests of residents.
We put our residents at the heart of everything we do, and know that no two are the same. That is why we get to know residents and their life stories, hobbies and interests, helping us to create events around their likes.
The Daily Sparkle
We are also supported by The Daily Sparkle, a newspaper and app featuring news stories from the past and familiar activities. Using these resources has opened up conversations for our less sociable residents, who reveal the smaller details of their lives, allowing carers to get to know residents on a close, personal level. Look below for some of the things we have been up to recently.
“I great supporting the residents at Beauchamp House; I love the challenge of creating menus that incorporates the tastes of all the residents.” – Clare Sayers, Beauchamp House Chef
Meals are more than just the food on the plate, they bring people together. At Beauchamp House, residents meet for meal times in our relaxed and comfortable dining rooms, with wholesome, well-balanced meals.
We talk to residents to help create flexible menus around their likes and needs, also working within any special dietary requirements. Snacks and afternoon teas are also available to residents.
Sarah Patten – Home Manager
I’ve worked in the care industry since leaving school, starting as a health care assistant and worked my way up through the ranks. I’m passionate and committed to providing high-quality care, making sure our residents are happy and supported to live their lives the way they wish in a safe environment.
I’m a country girl at heart and was brought up in the country on the family farm. When I do have time off, I love spending it walking on the Somerset levels with my dog.
Although we can’t welcome you for a look around our care homes just yet, you can still view inside thanks to our remote tours.
To ensure our care homes remain free from COVID-19, our helpful Home Managers can guide you around during a video call, so you get a feel of what life is like with Care South.
