Care provided at Maiden Castle House:

Maiden Castle House care home was designed with resident’s comfort in mind and we believe we have created a homely atmosphere for residents to enjoy, with care and support.

Maiden Castle House has 66 welcoming, fully furnished rooms, all of which have en-suite facilities and a 24-hour call bell, ensuring residents are comfortable, safe and expertly cared for. We give all residents support and peace of mind and we pride ourselves on doing everything possible to enhance residents’ quality of life.

The home has a number of spacious communal lounges, overlooking our bright and colourful courtyard, providing residents with a lovely area to relax in comfort with a cup of tea and a slice of cake, or socialise with friends and loved ones. Residents also have full use of our on-site hair salon.

Situated in a peaceful residential neighbourhood in the Dorset county town of Dorchester, we are perfectly located to benefit from local shops and services. This enables residents to continue to do what they love, whether that’s coffee with friends or enjoying activities with visiting loved ones, such as trips to local museums and landmarks. Nothing is too much trouble for us when it comes to the care and comfort of residents and we always go the extra mile to help residents maintain their lifestyle and independence.

We understand that looking for a care home can be a difficult and daunting process, but we want you to know that you are not alone. Please feel free to give us a call or fill out an enquiry form and we will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have,  provide you with support throughout the process, or simply give you a better idea of life at Maiden Castle House.

Maiden Castle House is dedicated to ensuring residents are able to get the most out of every day, whilst feeling safe and supported. For us, it’s all about delivering the three F’s – Food, Fun and Friendship – to help residents live a happy and fulfilling lifestyle.

Recreational activities are organised by our activities coordinator(s) to ensure residents are having fun and making friends, and range from baking and arts and crafts to visits from entertainers and day trips out to local points of interest and attractions.

No two residents are the same, and we love to learn about their amazing life stories, hobbies and interests. This helps us to build strong relationships with residents and allows us to tailor our activities to suit their likes and favourite pastimes. Residents can be as involved as they wish and the activities team work hard to cater for residents’ recreational needs, enabling them to continue to do the things they love, even if that simply involves sitting down and enjoying a card game or a puzzle.

We host a number of community group activities, such as the ‘Knit and Natter Club’ and ‘TeaAt3’, which bring residents together and help to improve their physical and mental wellbeing.
