Care provided at Talbot View:

Talbot View has a number of charmingly furnished communal spaces that provide the perfect place to unwind with a cup of tea and a slice of cake, or to socialise with friends and loved ones. For example, our bright communal lounges overlook our beautifully landscaped garden that is bursting with gorgeous greenery and vibrant flowers, helping to provide residents with a sense of peace and tranquillity. Residents also have full use of our on-site café, hair salon, and our well-stocked library, which they are welcome to peruse and enjoy.

Talbot View has 59 welcoming and comfortable, fully furnished rooms, each with en-suite wet rooms containing a w/c, a washbasin and a shower, as well as a 24-hour nurse call bell, ensuring residents are comfortable, safe and expertly cared for.   We give all our residents support and peace of mind, whether they need just a little assistance, or full-time care, and we pride ourselves on doing everything possible to enhance our residents’ quality of life.

Talbot view is situated on the edge of Bournemouth, therefore we not only benefit from great local shops, cafés and restaurants on nearby Winton high street, but we also profit from easy access to great shopping facilities in the town centre, as well as lots of local attractions and excellent transport links. Bournemouth’s sandy beaches and spectacular coastline make this area an amazing place to live and mean that there’s plenty to keep you and visiting loved ones busy. You could even go and watch A.F.C. Bournemouth play Championship football at the nearby Vitality Stadium, which is just 15 minutes down the road!

We want to enable residents to continue to do what they love, whether that’s popping out for a coffee with friends, assisted by a member of our excellent care team, or enjoying activities with visiting loved ones. Nothing is ever too much trouble for us when it comes to the care and comfort of our residents and we always go the extra mile to help residents safely maintain their lifestyle and independence.

We understand that looking for a care home can be a difficult and daunting process, but we want you to know that you are not alone. Please feel free to give us a call or fill out an enquiry form and we will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have,  provide you with support throughout the process, or simply give you a better idea of life at Talbot View.

Talbot View is dedicated to ensuring our residents are able to get the most out of every day, whilst feeling safe and supported. For us, it’s all about delivering the three F’s – Food, Fun and Friendship – to enable our residents to live a happy and fulfilling lifestyle.

Recreational activities are organised by our activities coordinator(s) to ensure our residents are having fun and making friends, and range from baking and arts and crafts to visits from entertainers and day trips out to local points of interest and attractions. Talbot view also maintains great links with local groups, such as the local Scout Group and A.F.C. Bournemouth, and resident’s relatives are encouraged to get involved in activities and events as much as possible. This really helps residents to remain part of the local community and feel connected to their loved ones.

No two residents are the same, and we love to learn about their amazing life stories, hobbies and interests. This helps us to build strong relationships with our residents and allows us to tailor our activities to suit their likes and favourite pastimes. Residents can be as involved as they wish and the activities team work hard to cater for our residents’ recreational desires, enabling them to continue to do the things they love, even if that simply involves sitting down and enjoying a card game or a puzzle.

Please see below for more of the activities that we have been enjoying at Talbot View recently.

Tracy Frankcom – Home Manager

Talbot View Home Manager Tracy

“I first joined Talbot View on 26th February 1991 as a relief care assistant. Now, nearly 30 years on, I am the Manager at this wonderful care home where I have worked for most of my life. I have had connections to the home since I was 13 years old as my mother also worked at Talbot View, making this home more than just a job for me.

I’m dedicated and passionate about Talbot View and I believe good communication, connections with our community here in Bournemouth, and the amazing team of long-serving staff make Talbot View such a good care home.”
