Magical Afternoon as Alpacas Return to Beauchamp House

Residents at Beauchamp House enjoyed a truly memorable and heartwarming afternoon when Stokewood Alpacas returned to the home with their much-loved alpacas, Billie, Benji and Bumble.

The special visit brought smiles, laughter and plenty of excitement as residents spent time meeting, feeding and walking the gentle animals around the home’s gardens.

Residents delighted in offering the alpacas their favourite treats and enjoyed the calming experience of gently walking alongside them in the sunshine. The visit created a wonderful atmosphere throughout the home, with many residents sharing stories, laughter and special moments together.

One particularly touching moment came when Billie the alpaca wandered over to a statue of St. Francis of Assisi in the garden and appeared to gently kiss its head. St. Francis is famously known for his kindness and connection to animals, making the moment feel especially meaningful to everyone watching.

The therapeutic visit encouraged conversation, social interaction and emotional connection, while the calming nature of the alpacas brought comfort and joy to residents throughout the afternoon.

Residents described the experience as “wonderful” and said they had enjoyed a truly magical afternoon with the alpacas.
