Marjorie House residents enjoy a little autumnal decoupage
Autumn brought a wave of creativity and flavour to the residents of Marjorie House, who recently enjoyed a delightful pumpkin art decoupage session. The activity room buzzed with excitement as residents gathered around tables adorned with vibrant autumn leaves, colourful papers, and an array of pumpkins ready to be transformed into works of art. Guided by enthusiastic staff members, the residents meticulously cut and pasted, creating unique and beautiful pumpkin designs that reflected the spirit of the season.
Following the art session, the residents were treated to a delicious autumn-themed snack. The highlight was the pumpkin spiced butterfly cupcakes, which were not only visually appealing but also bursting with the warm, comforting flavours of pumpkin spice. Each bite was a reminder of the cosy autumn days and the joy of seasonal treats.
To complement the cupcakes, refreshing papaya, mango, and lime smoothies were served. The tropical flavours of the smoothies provided a delightful contrast to the spiced cupcakes, creating a perfect balance of tastes. Residents sipped their smoothies while admiring each other’s pumpkin art, sharing stories, and enjoying the camaraderie that these activities fostered.
The afternoon was a perfect blend of creativity, delicious treats, and social interaction, leaving the residents of Marjorie House with cherished memories of a wonderful autumn day.
