Marjorie House residents enjoy a song and dance!
The residents at Marjorie House love to join in with musical activities. Activities Lead Christina is also a professional singer and loves including music where she can. Here is one of the residents singing and dancing with Christina during an afternoon of singalong songs from the 1940’s to accompany their afternoon tea. There were songs like ‘A Nightingale Sang in Berkley Square’, ‘Chattanooga Choo Choo’ and plenty of songs to dance to.
On another day they were ‘Putting on the Ritz’ for their Macmillan event which was complimented by a delicious afternoon tea and with musical accompaniment from their in-house singer. There was a group of about 20 attendees from the community who came to support the event, and who all donated generously to a good cause.
