World Food Day – a tasty treat at Marjorie House
Residents at Marjorie House care home started the day with their chef’s homemade Blueberry Pancakes drizzled with honey. Blueberries are nutrient-rich and high in antioxidants which have many protective properties which are good for the immune system.
The morning’s activities revolved around food and the residents enjoyed food related quizzes, trivia and conversations on food around the world. One area of particular interest was the history of traditional British food eg the sandwich, HP sauce and marmite! Food across the decades was also under the spotlight.
