Alexandra House’s inspirational Home Manager invited to HRH the Queen’s Garden Party
Emma Cotton, Home Manager at Alexandra House was recently invited to attend HRH the Queen’s Garden Party at Buckingham Palace.
Every summer, The Queen invites more than 30,000 people from all walks of life to garden parties at Buckingham Palace and Holyroodhouse. Most guests are invited for their significant contributions to local communities and the party is designed to recognise and reward all attendees.
Emma was nominated by Care South’s Chairman, Felicity Irwin DL to attend the special occasion for her contribution to the community through her work as Home Manager of Alexandra House and other Care South homes.
Accompanied by her husband, Emma joined Her Majesty the Queen for tea, as well as His Royal Highness Prince Harry, Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie, Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice, the Duke and Duchess of Kent and the Duke of Gloucestershire.
Invited guests enjoyed entertainment from the Queen’s royal band along with 27,000 cups of tea, 20,000 sandwiches and 20,000 slices of cakes.
Emma Cotton said: “The afternoon was so very special, and I feel privileged to have been selected to attend on behalf of Care South. It is a memory that I will treasure forever and will never forget.”
