The gentlemen of Dorset House enjoyed a truly memorable outing this Remembrance Day with a special visit to The Tank Museum.
See more >Residents and team members from Talbot View Care Home recently enjoyed a wonderful trip to Haskins Garden Centre, joined by family members for a day full of smiles, laughter and shared memories.
The outing began with a scenic drive through the local countryside, passing fields filled with sheep and horses, along with peaceful rivers and friendly dog walkers. The sights sparked many happy memories and plenty of conversation during the journey.
As soon as everyone arrived, one thing stood out straight away – the giant Christmas tree at the entrance. “You can’t miss it! It’s right in the centre,” laughed Cathy, as the group admired the beautiful decorations and festive displays.
The garden centre was full of colour and seasonal joy, and there was something to capture everyone’s interest. Mary enjoyed browsing the pumpkin displays and chose a few to take home, while Bryan was particularly taken with the model displays, which reminded him of his own models from years past.

After a relaxed stroll and plenty of chatting, everyone enjoyed some refreshments together before heading back home, spirits high and smiles all round.
It was a lovely day out that brought together residents, families and team members in the true spirit of Food, Fun and Friendship. Outings like these are a special part of life at Talbot View, creating happy memories and moments of connection that mean so much to everyone involved.
