A special Mother’s Day for Maiden Castle House residents

It was a special Mother’s Day for many of the residents at Maiden Castle House in Dorchester.

Although it was a day under lockdown due to the national Coronavirus restrictions, it was a chance for the mums in the residential and dementia care home to catch-up with their children and families.

Under the new visiting guidelines, it was one of the first opportunities for families to have physical contact in the form of handholding, where it was safe to do so.

It was also a busy day for the postman, who had lots of cards, gifts, and flowers to deliver to the care home.
