Alexandra House highly praised and rated ‘GOOD’ in all areas following a CQC inspection
The team at Alexandra House are celebrating after being highly praised and achieving an overall rating of ‘Good’ following the CQC team’s inspection which looks at the home’s levels of care, responsiveness, safety, effectiveness and leadership.
The CQC praised the home for effectively assessing people’s needs and ensuring these were planned for and reviewed with individualised care plans for each resident at the home. They also noted how well-trained staff members were and what a supportive environment the home was to work in.
The report also highlighted many positive comments from the home’s residents and their relatives. One resident said “The carers go above and beyond. I would have no hesitation in recommending the home to anyone. The level of care and attention to detail is second to none.” Others talked about how helpful, caring and encouraging staff members were.
Further Comments from staff members of Alexandra House were also featured in the report “I know I’m very happy and I know a lot of my colleagues are. We feel passionate about it and it’s nice to wake up in the morning and want to come to work.”
Emma Cotton, Home Manager at Alexandra House and recent winner of Care South’s Manager of the Year award said: “We are delighted to receive the ‘Good’ rating from the CQC. My team has worked so very hard for our residents and this is something we can all build on going forward. Our aim is to be “Outstanding” when CQC next inspect us!”
