Special guests for World Animal Day
Buxton House welcomed some unusual visitors to Weymouth ahead of World Animal Day on October 4.
The two alpacas walked around the home, with residents spending time stroking the woolly guests.
Residents loved meeting the pair of alpacas, with many of their faces lighting up when the get to stroke them.
Other homes got involved in World Animal Day too. At Talbot View care home in Bournemouth, Teacher Creatures brought along some birds of prey and reptiles.
Residents also had the chance to handle a barn owl, which flew onto their arms.
World Animal Day aims to raise the profile of animals in a bid to improve welfare standards.
