With the current travel restrictions in place, residents at Dorset House, Buxton House and Wickmeads had no option but to decline their invitations to this year’s Oscars. Instead, they had their own ceremonies with fiercely competitive categories of best smile, residents who laugh the most and the most fashionable. Everyone enjoyed walking down the red carpet having their photo taken and all residents were very eager to find out the winners!
The residents at Wickmeads went on a journey to learn about the history of the Oscar statuette and how it’s made. They also watched highlights of this year’s show in LA, looking at the best and worst dressed attendees, whilst residents talked about their most expensive outfits they have purchased over the years; mainly for weddings and special occasions.
