Care South at Home bids fond farewell to retiring BANES manager

Published: 24th March 2021

The Care South at Home team in Bath & North East Somerset (BANES) said a fond farewell to manager Jon Bowring, who is looking forward to a much-deserved retirement.

When he can, Jon will be travelling to Thailand and then to Australia to meet with family, so we thought a globe would be the perfect leaving present!

Care at Home Director Martin Ross said: “Jon is a much-valued member of the Care South at Home management team and will be missed by all his colleagues.

“His caring nature and dedication have been exemplary. We all wish him a very happy retirement, travelling around the world!”

Jon joined Care South in 2017 after supporting and managing services for people with learning disabilities across Somerset for over 15 years. He said his career was guided “day to day by an innate caring nature”.

At a recent meeting with Bath and North East Somerset Council, Jon was thanked for his great work and contributions in the area.

A replacement for Jon will be announced in due course. Until then, the Care South at Home BANES office will be overseen by Operations Manager Bex Symes.
