Care South staff shortlisted in annual care awards

4th November 2019

Care South staff have been shortlisted in two categories of the annual Proud to Care Awards 2019.

The Daily Echo-run awards, in conjunction with BCP Council, are an opportunity to celebrate the hard work that goes on in the care sector.

This year, Deputy Manager at Alexandra House care home in Poole, Natalie Hosking, and housekeeper at Castle Dene care home in Bournemouth, Tracy Jeff, have both been shortlisted.

Natalie, who has been with Care South for more than six and a half years, has been shortlisted for the Palliative Care Worker of Year Award. She began her career as a Care Assistant at Queensmead care home in Christchurch, being promoted several times.

Home manager Emma Cotton said: “I’m sure you will join me in congratulating Natalie in this well-deserved nomination. She works so tirelessly for all of our residents in all aspects, however end of life care is her passion.

“She has transformed the end of life care here at Alexandra House by leading by example.”

Meanwhile, Tracy has been shortlisted for the Long Service Award. Tracey has worked for Care South for 36 years in a variety of roles. Tracey moved to Castle Dene care home in 2009. She has been working as a housekeeper since September 2018.

The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 14th November at the Marsham Court Hotel in Bournemouth.
