Coffee morning raises funds for Kenwith Castle residents
A coffee morning at Kenwith Castle care home in Bideford has helped raise money for its residents.
Activities organiser Sue Revell baked fresh cheese and fruit scones for the event, which raised around £70.
The money will go towards the care home’s activities fund, used to put on entertainment for residents.
Kenwith Castle will raise further funds at its Christmas Craft Fayre on 16th November 2019. The fayre, which will take place from 10am to 2pm at the care home in Abbotsham, will have a number of different crafts available, including handmade cards, paintings, candles, knitted items, stained glass, carved wood and jewellery.
Kenwith Castle is run by Care South, a registered charity and leading provider of quality care across the South. Last month the care home was rated ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC, who praised the staff for its “high-quality, person-centred care”.
