Dorset House supports Duke of Edinburgh Award student

9th July 2019

Over the past six months, residents at Dorset House have been delighted to have been joined by local student, Scott who has been undertaking his Bronze Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Award.

The DoE is a recognised award that sees students carry out four elements – physical, skills, volunteering and expedition – over a period of six months. Scott joined Dorset House as part of his volunteering element and the residents have loved having him around. Scott joined the activities team at the home and visited every Saturday to play board games, help with arts and crafts, and generally just worked hard around the home.

The residents gave Scott a warm send off, wishing him well for his expedition which will see him trek and camp across the New Forest National Park for two days. Good luck Scott!
