Now in its 11th year, all Care South staff came together on the 15th July to celebrate the amazing dedication and passion in their work in the Care South All Stars Awards 2020.
To mark the extra mile that all staff have gone during the COVID-19 pandemic this year to keep our residents safe and happy, the awards – formerly the ‘Stars Awards’ – were renamed the ‘Care South All Stars Awards’.
All care home staff and residents, care at home staff, head office staff and trustees of Care South were invited to join a Zoom presentation of the Awards held in the board room at head office in Poole.
The staff and residents at Maiden Castle House in Dorchester had a great time celebrating together after the Awards with a delicious buffet made by the chef and a special ‘All Stars’ cake.
Maiden Castle House Home Manager Rachel hand wrote a thank you card for every staff member and gave each one of them the option of 2 gifts – a diamond bath bomb because they are valuable or a jar of haribo because they are sweet! The team then presented her and Deputy Home Manger Ash with some thank you gifts.
The residents wrote messages on stars which were displayed on a board for all staff and some of their relatives also thanked the team at Maiden Castle House in a video which was played as a surprise on the TV following the Awards so relatives, residents and staff were all involved in different aspects of the celebrations.
A sequin backdrop wall and balloon cloud were also borrowed from local companies to complete the party atmosphere!
