Maiden Castle House resident knits baby bonnets for local hospital
Dot Allen, a resident at Maiden Castle House recently gifted a bundle of premature baby bonnets to the maternity unit at Dorchester Hospital. Dot has been knitting the bonnets as part of the home’s ‘Knit and Natter’ group for the past five years for regional hospitals. The maternity team at Dorchester County Hospital were delighted to receive the bonnets, which are the perfect size for premature babies. The ‘Knit and Natter’ group are now starting to plan their next project to knit mittens for the babies.
