National Cream-Filled Doughnut Day celebrations
Residents at St Martins Grange enjoyed a busy week at the home with a day trip to Shaftesbury, along with ‘National Cream-Filled Doughnut Day’ celebrations.
Everyone took a stroll along Park Walk to admire the beautiful views on a spring-like day, before enjoying a cup of tea and cake. They then ventured to the Abbey Museum to admire its beautiful wheelbarrows which are planted with beautiful flowers, before taking part in a sing-along on the ride home.
Later in the week, everyone got fully behind National Cream-Filled Doughnut Day – celebrating with a coffee and doughnut morning with not just fresh cream cakes, but plenty of jam, custard and ring doughnuts. The residents then took part in a general knowledge quiz to round off the afternoon.
