Oldest resident meets youngest member of the team
Their birthdays are more than a century apart, but two members of the Care South family were able to share a happy moment together at Dorset House care home.
Care assistant Hannah brought in her new son Oscar to spend some time with the residents at the Hamworthy care home, including 105-year-old Dorothy.
Dorothy Wakely, who has been a resident at Dorset House care home since 2008, celebrated her milestone birthday in December. While everything is still so new to baby Oscar, Dorothy has lived through two world wars, seen four different kings and queens, and 26 different prime ministers.
She has also lived through a number of iconic moments in history, such as women getting the right to vote, the first man on the Moon, the first transatlantic flight, and the inventions of the TV and penicillin.
Dorothy enjoys a small square of chocolate each day, which could be the secret to her long life.
