20th November 2019

Queensmead care home has given its support to help turn the town of Christchurch ‘dementia friendly’.

Home Manager Tracey Walker and Deputy Manager Anne Tarum went along to the Christchurch Dementia Friendly Community Alliance launch event to share how the care home helps people with dementia.

Queensmead is proud to support the work to help Christchurch become a ‘Dementia Friendly Town’. The team is passionate about helping people with dementia feel supported in living the life they want.

Tracey said: “A ‘Dementia Friendly’ community will give individuals the tools to enable all those who are affected feel supported, understood and empowered.”

The community group held the launch event in the town centre.
