Queensmead residents reminisce on visit to Sky Museum
Residents at Queensmead care home had a great day out when they visited the Solent Sky Museum in Southampton.
Various planes from across the years were on display, with volunteers dedicating time to guide the residents around.
There were also a number of items and uniforms through the years from the Police and Fire departments on display.
The day provided a chance for the residents to share their memories, included one man who was quoting his service numbers from the war.
One of our residents enjoyed chatting volunteers so much that they kindly gave him a free book about the Hurricanes at war.
The day before the outing residents had been baking, so the trip ended with a picnic.
