St Ives House care home has been spreading some joy during the lockdown to mark World Kindness Day.
Staff and residents at the care home in Ashley Heath put their heads together to come up with a way to share some kindness and decided on baking some sweet treats for their neighbours in the retirement cottages at St Ives Place.
After boxing up homemade muffins and attaching a message for the recipient, Deputy Home Manager Natalie Hosking and Activities Assistant Sarah Lambert delivered to the baskets of muffins.
Natalie said: “We know these are tough times for a lot of people and the residents and staff at St Ives wanted to do something to help spread a bit of joy, especially as it’s World Kindness Day.
“The neighbours at the cottages in St Ives Place were delighted by the surprise gesture. While our residents in the care home have friends in the care home to share activities with, or even just to chat to, with, we know not everyone is so lucky.”
