St Martins Grange host elf Christmas fayre
Residents and staff at St Martins Grange fought off the cold and damp winter weather with their elf Christmas fayre recently, and raised over £292 for the residents amenities fund.
They had a special visit from Santa, with one of the residents exclaiming “I know you, I’ve seen you before” as he handed out gifts of chocolates to everyone at the fayre.
Deputy Mayor Councillor Barry von Clemens was on hand to call out the raffle prize winners and Reverend Andy came along to help, getting in the festive spirit wearing his Christmas jumper.
Everyone who attended had a wonderful time, including Jean, a regular volunteer at the home. She and her two grandsons were pleased to win the ‘guess the name of the elf’ competition.
Visitors also enjoyed trying out the home’s new Tovertafel (the latest technology for those with dementia), it was a big hit with all age groups.
