St Martins Grange host Movember party
Residents and staff at St Martins Grange care home in Gillingham came together to aid a men’s health cause.
Regardless of gender, everyone at the care home got involved to mark Movember. Typically, Movember sees men not shaving their moustaches during November while raising money.
For the party, the care home was decorated with moustaches of all shapes and sizes. There were also pictures of famous moustached men such as Bert Reynolds, Charlie Chaplin and Albert Einstein. Everyone was given a moustache to wear at the party and residents were invited to play the ‘Pin the Moustache on the Face’ game which produced much laughter and funny results.
Movember was first set up by two Australian friends, Travis Garone and Luke Slattery, to raise awareness and funds for men’s health issues, including prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.
