It might not be quite up to Joe Wicks The Body Coach’s standards, but Sussexdown care home has been making sure everyone has been getting in their exercise, especially as we enter National Obesity Week.
While many residents are less mobile than the once were, maintaining good physical health is important, especially when it comes to good mental health.
National Obesity Week takes place between 11-17 January and aims to promote a more healthy population. Obesity can be the cause of many diseases and health conditions, and is a growing problem in the UK.
With that in mind, the activities team at Sussexdown have been helping residents to get more active in a supported way that takes into account mobility – this can include things like armchair exercises and movement to music.
