Wickmeads residents celebrate Halloween
It was a busy Halloween at Wickmeads with the residents taking part in an array of activities throughout the home. The afternoon began with residents and relatives making tissue paper Halloween decorations in some amazing shapes. The decorations included cats, witches, pumpkins and ghosts.
This was followed by some traditional pumpkin carving before the activities coordinator dimmed the lights to showcase the pumpkins. She then gave a Halloween presentation where the residents learnt lots of fun facts about Halloween. Next up the seeds were thoroughly washed and dried ready to be sown next year to grow even more pumpkins for next year’s event.
