Did you know Burns Night is celebrated globally, even in the Antarctic?

At Wickmeads care home in Southbourne, residents took a tour around the virtual Robert Burns Museum, while Wickmeads chef, Francis, cooked up haggis and Scottish salmon for lunch.

Burns Night is held annually on 25th January and is often celebrated globally. It marks the birthday of Scottish poet Robert Burns (25 January 1759) and his contribution to Scottish culture – most notably Auld Lang Syne.
