Popcorn Day Fun and Creativity

Creativity, colour and a much-loved treat

On the 19 January, residents at Castle Dene enjoyed a fun and engaging Popcorn Day, bringing together creativity, shared activity and a tasty treat that everyone could look forward to.

A creative start to the day

The morning began with a hands-on craft activity, where residents made their own popcorn boxes. The first step was gluing on the red section of the box, followed by adding the finishing touches. Using small rolled-up pieces of tissue paper, residents carefully placed them at the top to create the look of popcorn spilling out of the box.

This activity encouraged creativity, concentration and fine motor skills, while also giving residents plenty of time to chat, laugh and enjoy working alongside one another.

Fresh popcorn to enjoy together

After lunch, the popcorn maker was brought out, much to everyone’s delight. As the smell of freshly made popcorn filled the room, residents gathered together to enjoy warm popcorn, sharing smiles and conversation as they tucked in.

It was a simple but joyful moment that brought a real sense of togetherness to the afternoon.
