Spooky Fun and Smiles at Dorset House this Halloween
Halloween at Dorset House was full of laughter, creativity and community spirit as residents and guests came together for a day of frightful fun and festive cheer.
The celebrations began with a lively pumpkin carving session, where residents rolled up their sleeves and got stuck in – quite literally – scooping out the gooey insides of their pumpkins. The room was filled with chatter and laughter as everyone designed their spooky creations, from cheeky grins to scary faces. Before long, the lounge was decorated with their masterpieces, setting the perfect scene for the Halloween festivities ahead.
The home was then transformed into a Halloween wonderland, complete with cobwebs, spiders, and eerie decorations that brought a festive buzz to the air. Spirits were high as residents admired the decorations and prepared to welcome some very special visitors – the children from Muddy Boots Nursery.
The arrival of the little ones brought a burst of energy and excitement, and soon the room was filled with laughter and smiles as everyone joined in the fun. The Halloween party featured a host of games and activities, from sweeping the pumpkin in a playful race to dancing during musical statues. One of the most popular moments of the afternoon was the “spaghetti challenge,” where brave participants dug through a bowl of spaghetti to find hidden chocolate coins!

Residents and children alike had a wonderful time, enjoying the chance to share in the laughter and excitement together. The joy in the room was infectious, and it was heartwarming to see friendships form between the generations.
It was a truly memorable day for everyone at Dorset House, combining creativity, community, and a little bit of spooky magic.
A huge thank you to the residents, staff, and our friends at Muddy Boots Nursery for helping make this Halloween one to remember!
