At St Ives House, we raised a glass to the wonderful gentlemen in our home with a heart-warming Father’s Day celebration that brought families together for an afternoon of fun, laughter and classic pub favourites.

Our dining area was transformed into a welcoming pub-themed setting, complete with a refreshing selection of drinks and delicious homemade treats, lovingly prepared by Chef Nick. Residents and their guests tucked into sausage rolls, scotch eggs, and savoury nibbles – the perfect complement to a laid-back, celebratory atmosphere.

Quizzes, Games and Quality Time

The afternoon kicked off with a Father’s Day quiz, featuring rounds of general knowledge and a light-hearted “Who am I?” segment that had everyone guessing and giggling. Laughter filled the room as families and residents teamed up to take on the questions, all in good spirit.

Following the quiz, each gentleman received a thoughtful gift, a small token of appreciation for the love, guidance and memories they’ve shared over the years. There was also time to enjoy tabletop games, chats, and quality moments with loved ones in a relaxed and joyful setting.

 A Day to Remember

Resident Barry summed it up best:

“It was a great afternoon – lovely to enjoy a cold beer and see everyone having fun.”

At St Ives House, creating meaningful moments through Food, Fun and Friendship is what we do best. This Father’s Day was a perfect example of how we celebrate the people who make our home so special.
