St Ives House Residents Come Together to Celebrate VE Day

Residents and team members at St Ives House came together on Friday to celebrate VE Day with a heartfelt day of music, remembrance and community spirit.

The home was filled with a warm and uplifting atmosphere as residents enjoyed a morning of singing and celebration, listening to much-loved songs from the wartime era that sparked memories and encouraged everyone to join in together.

Throughout the day, residents reflected on the significance of VE Day and shared stories and memories from years gone by. For many, it was a meaningful opportunity to remember the celebrations, friendships and sense of togetherness experienced at the end of World War II in Europe.

In the afternoon, residents and staff gathered for a traditional afternoon tea, enjoying delicious treats, conversation and time together in a relaxed and welcoming setting.
