Star-Spangled Smiles at Elizabeth House – Celebrating the 4th of July with Games and Garden Fun
At Elizabeth House, any reason to celebrate with fun, food and laughter is one we gladly embrace — and this 4th of July, our residents and team enjoyed just that, with a joyful garden party filled with games, sunshine and shared moments.
Friendly Competition and Laughter
The centrepiece of the celebration was a lively game of ‘Toss the Ring on the Cones’, which saw our residents split into two enthusiastic teams:
Team One – Vera, Rose, Margo, Peter T, Ruby and Kath
Team Two – Maria, Brenda, Peter C, Myra, Jean and Dot
As the game began, cheers and giggles echoed through the garden. Residents showed off their aim and team spirit, with friendly competition fuelling plenty of smiles. Activity Lead Mirela and Care Assistant Paul joined in the fun, adding even more energy to the group and helping everyone get involved.

Delicious Treats and Good Company
No celebration is complete without something tasty, and Chef Andre did not disappoint. Residents tucked into a delicious spread of snacks, beautifully prepared and enjoyed under the summer sun. It was a perfect opportunity to relax after the excitement of the game, enjoy the garden atmosphere, and share stories and laughter.
A Day to Remember
From competitive throws to shared laughter and tasty food, the 4th of July was another shining example of how Elizabeth House brings residents together to celebrate life’s little joys. Events like these are not just about fun — they’re about building friendships, sparking memories, and creating a home full of warmth and connection.
We can’t wait for the next celebration!
