Celebrating stars across Care South
At Care South, great care is made possible by great people. The Stars Awards 2024 celebrated the dedication, compassion and teamwork shown every day by colleagues across our care homes, Care South at Home offices and support teams.
The Stars Awards are an opportunity to celebrate the incredible work taking place across the organisation and to recognise the individuals and teams who consistently go the extra mile to support residents, clients and one another.
The final ceremony took place on Thursday 18 July 2024 at AFC Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium, bringing together finalists, winners and colleagues from across Dorset, Somerset and North Devon for a special evening of celebration. Hosted by Simon Bird, CEO, the event highlighted the exceptional care delivered across Care South and the teamwork that sits at the heart of everything we do.
As a not-for-profit organisation, Care South is proud to recognise the people who make such a meaningful difference to the lives of residents and clients every day.
Stars Awards 2024
A celebration across the whole organisation
The Stars Awards journey begins long before the final ceremony. Earlier in the year, local celebrations take place across Care South’s homes and offices where colleagues are nominated and finalists are announced.
In June 2024, colleagues from across the organisation came together for an online Stars Awards celebration, with parties taking place in homes and offices to reveal the shortlisted finalists who would attend the ceremony at the Vitality Stadium.
Teams embraced the occasion with themed celebrations, decorations and fancy dress. The theme for the online event was Hollywood, with homes putting on award-worthy celebrations featuring colourful costumes and decorations. From themed parties to shared meals and celebrations, colleagues across Care South joined together to celebrate their finalists and recognise the outstanding work taking place across services.
These celebrations created a wonderful sense of excitement across the organisation and gave colleagues everywhere the opportunity to take part in recognising the people who make a difference every day.
Stars Awards 2024 at AFC Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium
The final ceremony took place at AFC Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium, providing a memorable setting for one of Care South’s most important recognition events.
More than 130 colleagues gathered together to celebrate the achievements of the finalists and winners. The event recognised both those working directly with residents and clients, as well as the colleagues working behind the scenes who help enable the delivery of outstanding care.
It was an evening filled with celebration, appreciation and pride in the exceptional work taking place across Care South. The event also highlighted the organisation’s HEART values, which guide how colleagues support residents, clients and each other every day.
Recognising excellence across Care South
The Stars Awards recognise and reward individuals and teams who go the extra mile to provide great care and support. Nominations are made by colleagues, residents and relatives, making the awards especially meaningful as they reflect the real impact Care South teams have on everyday lives.
Special recognition was also given through the Chair’s Award, presented to Beauchamp House, recognising an exceptional whole home performance. These categories reflect the wide range of roles across Care South and highlight the teamwork that underpins the care and support delivered every day.
