Strikes, Spares and Smiles: Dorset House Residents Enjoy a Bowling Day Out!
Residents from Dorset House recently enjoyed a fantastic day out at Hollywood Bowl in Branksome, where they were joined by their friends from Alexandra House for a friendly bowling tournament. The event was filled with laughter, teamwork, and plenty of good-natured competition as everyone took turns on the lanes.
From the moment the first ball rolled down the alley, the excitement was contagious. There were cheers for every strike and spare — and just as much encouragement for those tricky throws that narrowly missed the pins! The atmosphere was light-hearted and full of joy, with residents sharing smiles and stories between turns.

Between games, everyone gathered for tea, coffee, and biscuits, creating the perfect chance to relax and socialise. The friendly rivalry between Dorset House and Alexandra House added a playful spark to the day — and after some close scoring, Alexandra House proudly took home the win!
After the bowling fun, Dorset House residents continued their outing with a scenic drive to Sandbanks. There, they enjoyed a peaceful picnic lunch overlooking the beautiful coastline, soaking in the fresh sea air and the sound of the waves. It was a calming way to end a lively and laughter-filled morning.
Home Manager Tracy shared, “Days like this are so special — they bring our residents together, help build friendships across homes, and create so many happy memories. The smiles said it all.”
It was truly a day of fun, friendship, and community spirit — one that residents are already looking forward to repeating soon!
