Summer Sunshine, Wagging Tails and Community Spirit at Fern Brook Lodge

Fern Brook Lodge was full of joy and laughter as residents, families, staff and members of the local community came together for our much-anticipated Summer Fayre and Dog Show. With the sun shining down, the day was a true celebration of everything we value at Fern Brook Lodge – companionship, great food, and moments that bring people (and pets!) together.

One of the highlights of the afternoon was the dog show, which saw a fantastic variety of four-legged friends taking to the garden for a parade of paws. Each dog brought its own unique charm, from playful pups to dignified older companions, creating smiles and conversation all around. We were delighted to welcome the Town Mayor, who graciously joined us to judge the competition. His presence added a wonderful sense of civic pride to the event, and he was warmly welcomed by all.

Of course, no summer celebration would be complete without delicious food – and Head Chef Phil delivered in spectacular fashion. Freshly cooked favourites filled the air with tempting aromas, as guests tucked into BBQ classics and summer treats throughout the afternoon. The laughter of children, the gentle chatter of residents, and the excited barks from the dogs made this a truly heartwarming and unforgettable day. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended, and to those who helped make the event such a success. We’re already looking forward to next year’s celebration!
