Sunshine, Music and Community: Welcome Wednesday & Open Day at Elizabeth House
We recently welcomed residents, families, and friends to a very special Welcome Wednesday and Open Day at Elizabeth House – and what a wonderful day it turned out to be!
With the sun shining down on us, the garden came alive with colour, music, and laughter. Thanks to Maria and Dot, who worked their magic decorating the space, the setting felt bright, festive and full of warmth.
Food, Friendship and a Festive Atmosphere
Guests were treated to a delicious buffet, thoughtfully prepared by our talented Chef Louria, and a sizzling barbecue cooked up by Mirela, our enthusiastic Activity Lead. The combination of flavours, friendly conversation and sunny weather made for a truly relaxed and enjoyable afternoon.
There were smiles all around as residents and visitors gathered to eat, chat and soak up the atmosphere. Peter and Bob shared how much it meant to them to spend time with their loved ones in such a lively setting, and their words were echoed by many others throughout the day.
Music, Dancing and 60s Style
The entertainment was in full swing as Angus took to the garden with his guitar, keeping spirits high and feet moving all afternoon. The garden quickly turned into a dance floor as residents, staff and families joined in the fun.
Adding a splash of retro flair, Myra, Norma and Kathleen couldn’t help but admire the groovy 60s fancy dress outfits, which brought even more character and colour to an already vibrant day.
A Day to Remember
Events like this are at the heart of what we do at Elizabeth House – bringing people together through Food, Fun and Friendship, and creating meaningful memories for all.
