Wellington Majorettes Bring Music and Fun to Beauchamp House

A Special Visit

On Saturday 30 August, residents at Beauchamp House were delighted to welcome the Wellington Majorettes for a lively and joyful performance.

Although the original plan was to perform outside, the rainy weather meant a change of location – but the majorettes adapted brilliantly, bringing their routines indoors and filling the home with colour, rhythm and smiles.

Joining in the Fun

Residents particularly enjoyed joining in with the routines, waving pom poms and clapping along to the music. The enthusiasm was infectious, and the lounge quickly filled with laughter and cheer.

The accompanying band also played a wonderful set, first performing in the reception area and later moving into the lounge to continue the entertainment. Residents were even able to join in with instruments of their own, having a go on glockenspiels and drums, which added to the fun atmosphere.

Refreshments and Conversation

After the energetic performances, everyone gathered together to enjoy refreshments. This was a lovely chance for residents, staff and the performers to chat and reflect on the afternoon. The conversation flowed easily, with residents expressing how much they had enjoyed the entertainment and the opportunity to take part themselves.

A Memorable Afternoon

The visit from the Wellington Majorettes and their band was described as a fun and uplifting afternoon. It was a wonderful example of how music and performance can bring people together, spark joy, and create lasting memories.
