Wickmeads residents marked National Tea Day in the best possible way – with a comforting cup of tea and a delicious slice of cake.
Afternoon tea is already a much-loved tradition in the home, so the occasion was a perfect excuse to take it one step further. Lucam, the home’s talented Head Chef, prepared a classic Victoria sponge, which delighted everyone and sparked fond memories of baking for family or enjoying cake with grandparents.
Pip commented, “It was so nice to have this — it was so light and fluffy,” while Pat added with a smile, “Can’t we celebrate this every afternoon?”
