Nursing and palliative care

Nursing care is available around the clock in some of our residential care homes, supporting residents living with complex care or medical needs.

We can help people who need rehabilitative care after an accident or stroke, or people with longer-term medical conditions and physical disabilities who need the care and expertise of a qualified registered nurse on hand, 24-hours a day. Our homes offering nursing care are equipped with specialist beds and equipment to cater for residents with medical needs, as well as facilities to increase mobility.

We can also support residents with palliative and end-of-life care. We understand this is a very difficult and emotional time for relatives, but our carers will ensure compassion, comfort and dignity in residents’ days. This was acknowledged by the CQC when they rated Fremington Manor Country House as ‘Outstanding’.

“They spoke with passion about their work and the importance of supporting people and their family members to ‘a good death’. They said, ‘You never get a second chance and so we must make sure we always get it right’.” – Care Quality Commission, March 2019
