The Stour Lounge at Wickmeads was recently alive with music, laughter and plenty of cheer Buxton House marked a truly memorable occasion recently as we buried our very own time capsule Residents from Maiden Castle House enjoyed a wonderful outing to Holmes for Gardens, making the most of the late summer sunshine. A Dorchester care home team have raised over £1,600 by walking 26 miles in honour of World Alzheimer’s Month. Residents and relatives laced up their football boots for a special VIP match at AFC Bournemouth’s new Performance Centre. Residents at Buxton House recently gathered for a lively pub night, and the home was soon filled with smiles, chatter and plenty of good cheer. Two Ringwood residents went the distance to complete a 3km charity walk in Poole with support from their care home team. Residential and care at home provider and registered charity, Care South, has donated £1,000 to Staracre Care Farm. On 10 September 2025, we were delighted to welcome a very special guest to our home – Tessa the Guide Dog Residents at Marjorie House were joined by two members of the team from Six Physio as part of Falls Prevention Awareness Week On a recent Wednesday afternoon, our residents at Marjorie House enjoyed a wonderful Knit & Natter session held in the Captain’s Club. On Wednesday 10, some of our wonderful residents from Marjorie House enjoyed a delightful morning trip to Haskins Garden Centre At Care South at Home – West Dorset, we are thrilled to celebrate the dedication and achievements of Lesley Marlow, our outstanding Care Supervisor We were absolutely delighted to welcome the classic Punch and Judy show to Fern Brook Lodge Residents at Wickmeads were in for a treat when our Activity Assistant, Jo, arrived in the lounge laden with cases and boxes. Residents at Elizabeth House had a truly wonderful morning when children from Muddy Boots Nursery At Kenwith Castle, we love making residents’ wishes come true, and recently it was Pat’s turn to enjoy a truly special day out. To mark the start of Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, residents at Fern Brook Lodge in Gillingham enjoyed a very special session at our Memory Café Residential and care at home provider and registered charity, Care South, has donated £2,000 to Cycling Without Age Wessex. A Ferndown care home hosted a special party for a resident and his wife as they celebrated 70 years of marriage along with their friends and family.
