Fern Brook Lodge hosts Macmillan Coffee Morning
Residents, relatives and colleagues at Care South’s Fern Brook Lodge in Gillingham recently came together for a special Macmillan Coffee Morning.
The home was filled with the smell of freshly baked treats as relatives, members of the team and Fern Brook Lodge’s Head Chef all contributed a delicious selection of homemade cakes for everyone to enjoy.
Cakes, conversation and a good cause
Throughout the morning, residents were joined by relatives and colleagues for coffee, cake and plenty of conversation.
The event created a lovely opportunity for everyone to spend time together in a relaxed setting, while supporting Macmillan Cancer Support and the important work it carries out for people affected by cancer.
With a wonderful selection of cakes on offer, there was plenty to choose from and the morning proved popular with everyone who joined in.

Events such as the Macmillan Coffee Morning are an important part of life at Fern Brook Lodge, bringing residents, relatives and colleagues together while supporting causes that mean a great deal to people within the local community.
The home regularly welcomes friends and family to take part in activities and events, helping residents to maintain important connections and enjoy shared experiences.
The coffee morning also reflected Care South’s ethos of Food, Fun and Friendship, with delicious food providing the perfect reason for everyone to come together and enjoy each other’s company.
