Maiden Castle House residents enjoy nostalgic singalong with Sue and Fee
Residents at Care South’s Maiden Castle House in Dorchester recently enjoyed a memorable afternoon of music and reminiscence during a special singalong session with Sue and Fee.
Fee, the newest member of the Maiden Castle House Activities Team, joined forces with Sue, the wife of one of the residents, to lead the session and bring everyone together through a selection of much-loved songs. stories brief – Singalong
Familiar songs bring back special memories
Residents were encouraged to join in with timeless favourites, including ‘If I Was The Only Girl In The World’ and ‘I’ll Be With You In Apple Blossom Time’.
The familiar melodies quickly created a warm and uplifting atmosphere, with residents singing along and enjoying the chance to share the music together.
For many, the songs also sparked memories of earlier years and special moments from the past.

At Maiden Castle House, residents enjoy a varied programme of activities designed to reflect their interests and offer meaningful opportunities to socialise, have fun and enjoy familiar experiences.
The singalong was a lovely example of this, combining well-known music with plenty of smiles, conversation and shared memories.
A warm welcome for Fee
The session was also a wonderful opportunity for residents to spend time with Fee as she settles into her new role within the Activities Team.
Working alongside Sue helped make the afternoon particularly special, with the pair creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere that encouraged everyone to get involved.
The residents thoroughly enjoyed the session and the chance to sing some old favourites together.
