St Ives House resident enjoys wish come true at Mudeford Quay
Residents at Care South’s St Ives House recently made the most of the mild weather with a lovely afternoon trip to Mudeford Quay.
The outing followed a special request from resident David, who wanted to return to the coast, look out over the sea and enjoy one of his favourite seaside treats.
A trip to the coast
With the weather on their side, residents headed out to Mudeford Quay for some fresh sea air and a change of scenery.
The group spent time taking in the views across the water, enjoying the relaxed atmosphere and chatting together as they watched the activity around the quay.
For David, being back beside the sea was particularly special.
Cockles by popular request
No visit to Mudeford Quay would have been complete without a stop at the fish shop.
By popular request, the residents picked up some cockles, which proved to be a firm favourite with everyone.
Served with vinegar and black pepper, they were enjoyed while looking out over the sea, making for a simple but memorable seaside experience.
David said it was a wish come true to be back at Mudeford Quay enjoying cockles and taking in the view.
Making wishes matter
At St Ives House, residents are encouraged to share the places they would like to visit and the experiences that are important to them.
Whether it is returning to a favourite destination, enjoying a much-loved food or simply spending time somewhere that holds special memories, the team aims to make those wishes possible wherever they can.
This trip was a lovely example of how meaningful outings can bring together fresh air, favourite flavours and treasured memories.
A lovely afternoon together
Everyone agreed it had been a wonderful afternoon, with plenty of conversation, smiles and friendship along the way.
Trips like this reflect Care South’s ethos of Food, Fun and Friendship, helping residents remain connected with the local community while continuing to enjoy the experiences that matter most to them.
