Care South and PramaCare join forces to ensure continuity of care in Dorset

Care South and PramaCare have mutually agreed to merge their care at home and nail care activities from 1 May 2026, to ensure a continuity of care and service to all PramaCare’s existing clients across Dorset.

This arrangement between the two local Poole-based charities sees Care South offering PramaCare’s amazing care staff the opportunity to join Care South, with their employment terms and conditions unaffected.

Care South will continue to offer and provide exactly the same services that PramaCare currently provides to their existing and new clients from its premises at Moran House, Holes Bay Park, Poole, which includes all aspects of domiciliary care and nail care.

This arrangement allows Prama to focus on their other interests locally and enables Care South to continue the amazing work that PramaCare has provided to the local community in Dorset. It’s an incredibly exciting opportunity and we are delighted to welcome new colleagues from PramaCare into Care South and are so pleased to be able to keep them caring for the same clients that they have cared for over many years with PramaCare. Prama will continue as a charity to develop its community-based support for older adults and carers, including our Memory Lane support groups for people living with dementia, our one-to-one support for carers and Prama’s Oakley Friends Induction programme for carers of people with dementia. In doing this, we will look to build on our successful partnership work with Care South, sharing our skills and capacity.”

Prama will also continue to develop its successful network of charity shops, to ensure that local older adults and carers receive the quality support they need.
