Care provided at Marjorie House:

Marjorie House has been carefully crafted to enable residents to lead rich and fulfilling lives. There are 50 luxurious en-suite bedrooms with a variety of sizes, styles and sea views.

There is a café, bar, hair and beauty salon within the home and on each of the three floors, a dining area, dedicated activity area, lounge and a smaller private lounge (ideal for private and family functions).

The terraced gardens, circular walkways, viewing areas and balconies enable residents and their guests to enjoy the exceptional views, whilst the landscaped courtyard offers the ideal spot for relaxation and social gatherings.

Residents in our care have led rich and fulfilling lives and we want to keep it that way – with plenty of Food, Fun and Friendship.

There is something for everyone. Whether it’s day trips, socialising, or relaxing and enjoying the views from your beautifully appointed room, the choice is yours.

Marjorie House isn’t just a beautiful home with stunning views and superb facilities, it’s a community that provides 24-hour support with daily life, such as personal care, good food and programmes designed to promote wellbeing. Whether it’s one-to-one activities such as learning a new skill, or making dreams come true, it’s never too late to live new experiences.

Activities range from baking and arts and crafts to visits from entertainers providing music or wellbeing classes, animal visits, interactive technology and day trips on our minibus to local points of interest and attractions.

The landscaped courtyard and garden not only feature beautiful raised beds and sensory areas, but a golf putting green, providing the perfect place to relax or socialise with friends and loved ones!

Residents can participate as much as they wish and our amazing activities team encourage social interaction and work hard to cater for our resident’s recreational desires. We aim to enable residents to continue to do the things they love, even if that simply involves sitting down and enjoying a card game or a puzzle.

Our menu is expertly crafted by our talented chefs, working closely with residents and our Catering Operations Manager. Meals are cooked and prepared onsite by the kitchen team, who cater for all of our residents’ dietary requirements and meal preferences.

Our chefs prepare quality food that looks good, tastes even better, and is based on menus that reflect the tastes and nutritional needs of residents. Good nutrition and hydration are vital parts of the care we provide, which is why we produce delicious home-cooked food. We focus on the overall dining experience, as meals are more than just the food on the plate – they bring people together. Food and snacks are available 24/7.

Georgina Powell – Home Manager

“I’m Georgie, and I am thrilled to take on the Manager role at Marjorie House! With over 15 years in the Care industry, including several incredible years with the Care South Group, I’ve learned nothing compares to the joy of providing top-notch, personalised care.

I am passionate about delivering good quality, personalised care. This is reflected within the fantastic team we have here at Marjorie House. My favourite part of the working day is seeing my team and residents interact in a meaningful, value-adding way.

I want you to know my door is always open to answer any questions or concerns you may have, so please do not hesitate to get in touch.”

How to find us

Marjorie House is on the corner of Crichel Mount Road and Sandbanks Road on Evening Hill, midway between Lilliput, Sandbanks and Canford Cliffs.

We have plenty of parking, including electric vehicle charging points. Transport links are excellent, with Poole Railway Station 3.5 miles and Bournemouth Railway Station 5 miles away.

Smart Technology, Thoughtful Care

At our care home, we’re committed to using innovative technology to improve both the quality of life for our residents and the efficiency of our care services. One of the most exciting advancements we’ve adopted is acoustic monitoring.

What is Acoustic Monitoring?

Acoustic monitoring is a discreet, non-intrusive system that uses room-installed sensors to detect unusual sounds, such as calls for help, falls, or changes in breathing patterns. The system analyses sound levels and patterns in real time, alerting our care team immediately if something requires attention.

Why It Matters

Traditional monitoring often involves regular room checks, which can interrupt rest and compromise privacy. Acoustic monitoring allows us to maintain a peaceful environment while still responding quickly when help is needed.

This technology enhances safety, improves response times, and helps us deliver more personalised care by identifying residents’ individual needs and routines over time.

A Calmer, Safer Environment

With acoustic monitoring, residents enjoy greater comfort and privacy, and families gain peace of mind knowing their loved ones are being monitored with care and respect.
